Sadly Summer has come to end and it's time to put away the beach gear; time to grab your coziest blankets and fuzzy socks. I'm the type of person that when summer ends, I’m ready to jump in to Fall. It's time to pull out my sweaters, jeans, and boots even if it does still feel like fall hear in Florida. We don’t usually start to really cool down here until mid October or the beginning of November. So I have to pace myself and remember that even though it may not be sixty degrees here, it doesn’t mean I can’t start incorporating some fall clothing pieces in my everyday life.
Jeans are a good piece to start adding back in to you’re wardrobe for Fall. I live in Florida and in August and September it is still in the mid 80’s. I like to stick to jeggings just because they are a lighter material. Also because I don’t feel like I’m going to die if I go outside wearing them.
I think a lot of us are the same that when it starts to cool down a little bit we want to pull out our boots. But some times the weather just doesn’t agree. Now you could stick to some ankle boots or opened toe boots or even some cute wedges. But if it is still in the mid 80's where you live I would stay away from the knee high boots just for a little longer
Its not time for sweaters yet but if you want to get away from the tank tops and t-shirts we wear during the Summer. You could try a cute button up top with a pair of jeans. I think button up tops are very cute but it is still a little to hot to wear them here. But I will be trying a few once the temperature cools down.
Cardigans are one of my favorite items in my Autumn wardrobe to wear. But when it is hot wearing the thicker knitted ones I own is not a good idea. So a light thinner cardigan is a better choice for when its a slightly cooler day and I just want something to put on my arms. But that doesn't mean my knitted cardigans will not get any use because they definitely will.
The clothing choices are not the only thing that changes during this transition from Summer to Autumn. The color options and choices change. In Summer we wear brighter or pastel colors. In the fall we for more deeper and darker colors and I usually wear black a lot probably more than I should. Another favorite color of mine that I like to wear in the fall time is burgundy or a deep plum color. I currently have a lot of clothing in closet in the burgundy family of colors. There are many shades and tones that make us think of fall like burnt orange, rust, mustard yellow, camel brown, and again those burgundy and plum colors.
I think we all struggle a little bit when stores start getting rid of summer clothing and bring in the fall clothing. Whether it just too hot or it's not cold enough to throw on a thick sweater just yet. Sometimes you're just not ready to get rid of your Summer style which is perfectly fine too. You can incorporate fall colors and styles with dresses, skirts, or shorts and a cute top. But sadly it is time to start saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall. So I hope this is helpful for you to make this transition from summer to fall.
